A list of clues, released this past spring on Johnnie Day of Giving, pointed students in Annapolis and Santa Fe to 20 hidden plush axolotls鈥攅ach named for a Program author and worth a $200 gift to St. John鈥檚 when found.
Tackling two different tongues鈥攐ne ancient, the other contemporary鈥攅ncourages Johnnies to 鈥渕eaningfully think about the way that language constitutes our world, or vice versa, the way that our world constitutes language," says Santa Fe tutor Amie Zimmer.
